have you ever loved me?
chilling pain, frozen stain
of sentient soul swirling
screaming in silence
dozens of excuses tired
fallacious hopes, wrong road
dark deception, agile and acute
numb in fear to fall from heights
yet where you decide,
i reside with love, potent,
selfless intention, a dove.
have you ever loved me?
living in the dead, a verse,
burning flames from the grave
abide with the memories
moments immortal once cherished,
was it natural? is it true?
or just a pretension?
facet of your mind,
never turned these pages,
unwilling to read through.
an escapist me, always loved you.
have you ever loved me?
absence, ignorance,
realizations in dismay
rippled waters of the placid bay
reflected full moon of the blue night
distorted, broken, stolen away.
yet the seasons of winter cold
feverish illusions, peripheral dreams
cuddling you in emotions, stagnant hold
lingering resort, loving you always.
